  1. Plain Rice - 3 cups,

  2. Lemon Juice - 6 tb sp ,

  3. 3 tsp,

  4. 1 1/2 tsp,

  5. Turmeric powder - 1 tsp,

  6. Table Salt - 1 1/2 tsp,

  7. Vegetable oil -3 tb sp,

  8. Mustard seed - 1 1/2 tsp,

  9. Chana Dal - 3 tb sp

  1. Boil the plain rice.

  2. Mix the lemon juice, chilies, ginger, salt and turmeric together.

  3. Sprinkle over the rice. Stir until each grain is coated.

  4. Using a small skillet, fry the dhal and mustard seed in the oil.

  5. When the mustard seed crackles and the dhal becomes golden brown mix with rice and stir.

  6. [ Note: If available and 3 heaping table spoon minced green coriander leaves.]
