Preparation : Combine cornmeal and boiling water in a bowl allow to stand for 10 minutes add flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, egg, and milk-mix well to make a very thin batter drop batter by tablespoonsful onto a greased hot griddle or skillet heat until bubbles come up and browned on one side turn and brown on the other side remove to a heated plate repeat with remaining batter serve warm, with butter
