  1. 1 pk Chopped dates; (16 ozs)

  2. 1/2 c Margarine

  3. 1/3 c Sugar

  4. 1 Egg; well beaten

  5. 1/4 ts Salt

  6. 2 ts Grated orange peel

  7. 2 tb Orange juice

  8. 1 ts Vanilla

  9. 1/2 c Chopped nuts

  10. 1/2 c Graham cracker crumbs

  11. 4 c Toasted whole wheat Flake cereal

  13. 1. Mix dates, margarine and sugar in 3-quart casserole. Cover tightly and microwave on high

  14. 4 minutes.

  15. 2. Stir in egg and salt. Cover tightly and microwave on medium-high (70%)

  16. 3 to 4 minutes or until slightly thickened.

  17. 3. Stir in orange peel, orange juice, vanilla,

  18. 1/2 cup nuts and the cracker crumbs. Let stand uncovered

  19. 10 minutes or until cool.
