  1. GERMAN NUT CAKE

  2. 2 sticks butter or margarine melted

  3. 2 cups sugar

  4. 4 eggs

  5. 1 tsp baking powder

  6. 1 tsp baking soda

  7. 2 cups flour

  8. 1/4 tsp salt

  9. 1 tsp vanilla

  10. 8 oz sour cream

  11. 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts

  12. 12 oz jar maraschino cherries, drained and halved

  13. Melt margarine in saucepan. Cool and add sugar and beat until

  14. fluffy, Add eggs one at a time and beat well. Combine dry ingredients

  15. and add and beat in gradually until smooth. Stir in nuts, cherries

  16. and vanilla.

  17. Gently fold in sour cream until well combined. Pour into a greased

  18. and floured bundt pan and bake about 1 hour or tested done. Cool

  19. in pan 10 minutes before removing.
