    1. 1/2 cup fine bread crumbs

    2. 2 tablespoons melted butter

    3. 1/4 teaspoon salt Dash of cayenne Dash of paprika

    4. 1 cup milk

    5. 2 slices of onion

    6. 1 blade of mace

    7. 1/2 bay leaf

    1. Instructions Mix butter and bread crumbs in a bowl. Season with salt, cayenne, and paprika. Place milk in a double boiler with onion, mace and bay leaf. Bring to a boil, then immediately strain. Return to saucepan. Mix in the bread crumb mixture and serve with small game, such as cornish game hens. .
