  1. 6 cups 1422ml Sliced peeled tart apples - about 4 large

  2. 1/3 cup 78ml Apple juice concentrate

  3. 2 tablespoons 30ml Quick cooking tapioca

  4. 1 teaspoon 5ml Ground cinnamon

  5. 1 Unbaked pastry shell

  6. 1/4 cup 36g / 1 1/3oz Finely chopped walnuts

  1. In a large bowl, combine the first four ingredients; let stand for 15 minutes. Stir and pour into pastry shell. Sprinkle with nuts.

  2. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 and bake 40-50 minutes longer or until apples are tender.

  3. Cover edges with foil during the last 15 minutes of baking if necessary.
