  1. 1 pound green beans, trimmed and washed

  2. 4 tablespoons butter

  3. 1/4 cup sliced almonds

  1. Steam the green beans in a vegetable steamer until crisp-tender. Set aside until right before serving. When ready to serve, melt the butter in a skillet; toss the green beans in the butter until warm, and top with sliced almonds. Makes 6 servings
