  1. 5 lb Flour

  2. 1/4 lb Butter

  3. 1 qt Milk

  4. 1 To 1.1/2 cups sugar

  5. 1 tb Salt

  6. 2 Yeast cakes or 1/4 pound

  7. -yeast 1/2 c Water or milk

  8. 2 ts Vanilla extract

  9. 5 lg Eggs

  10. 1 Tablespoon sugar. Let rise. Put

  11. 1 quart of milk in a pot. Add

  12. 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 pound butter. Scald; don't boil. Take off stove to

  13. 375 degrees for 1/2 an hour. Reduce heat to

  14. 350 degrees and bake about 1/2 hour longer.
