    1. 1 lb. box plus 1 c. brown sugar

    2. 5 eggs

    3. 3 1/2 c. sifted flour

    4. 1 c. milk

    5. 1/4 tsp. salt

    6. 1/2 tsp. baking powder

    7. 1 tsp. vanilla

    8. 1/2 tsp. maple flavoring

    9. 1/2 tsp. butter flavoring

    10. 1 c. chopped nuts

    11. 3 sticks butter

    1. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beat well. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk. Add flavoring and nuts. Bake in tube pan at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
