  1. 6 beets

  2. 1 cabbage, washed, shredded

  3. 5 cups water

  4. 2 tablespoons butter Seasonings to taste

  1. Instructions Boil the beets in some water for about 10 minutes. Remove the skin under cold water. Slice the beets. In a kettle put the 5 cups water, seasonings, butter, cabbage and beets. Cover. Cook for about 40 minutes. Then serve.
