  1. 3 cups self-rising flour

  2. 5 Tablespoons granulated sugar

  3. 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese or Pepper Jack Cheese (buy in store or shred yourself)

  4. 1 (12-ounce) can Budweiser beer or Busch beer(any beer you like) room temperature

  5. 4 small pepperoni sticks, chopped into small pieces, sprinkle with

  6. 1/2 cup green pimento olives,drained and chopped coarsely,sprinkled with

  7. 1 teaspoon self-rising flour

  8. 1 teaspoon black peppercorns, crushed coarsely

  9. 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

  10. 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

  11. 1 stick butter, room temperature, softened(or melted in small pot to brush on hot loaf) (Kosher salt for sprinkling finished loaf)

  1. Heat oven to 350 F. Grease 9"x5"x2 1/2" loaf pan(or casserole dish) with solid Crisco or use Pam cooking spray. Method: In large ceramic, glass or stainless steel mixing bowl, with clean plastic-gloved hands mix all ingredients EXCEPT BUTTER! well together. Spoon dough into prepared pan and bake for 40-45 minutes. Remove from oven carefully(HOT) and rub loaf with butter stick (Or brush melted butter on loaf with pastry brush)until all butter has melted into loaf. Return to oven and bake for 12-15 more minutes. You may want to tent bread with heavy-duty aluminum foil at this time to prevent burning. Remove bread from oven and sprinkle top with 1 teaspoon Kosher salt. Let cool on bread rack. Lay on side to slice with sharp serrated edge knife. This bread is excellent with chilis, soups and stews. Makes tasty sandwiches with meatloaf and sliced sandwich meats.
