  1. This is for 2 lb. bread machine

  2. 3/4c of water

  3. 3 1/2 T of butter

  4. 1 1/3 t of vanilla

  5. 2 eggs

  6. 5 T of sugar

  7. 1 t of salt

  8. 4 c of all purpose flour

  9. 3 t of yeast

  10. 1/3 of the dough, fold that section over and spread more butter on that side and then fold over again, (like folding a business letter). Wrap the folded dough in a clean tea towel and put in fridge for 15 minutes. Remove and knead it

  11. 4 or 5 times. Cut in half and place in two greased bread pans. Let rise and bake in a

  12. 350 F oven for 30 minutes or until golden. There should be flaky layers when you cut into the bread. My family likes it toasted.
