  1. 1 c. white sugar

  2. 1 c. brown sugar

  3. 1 c. shortening

  4. 2 eggs, beaten

  5. 2 c. flour

  6. 1 tsp. salt

  7. 1 tsp. soda

  8. 1 tsp. vanilla

  9. 2 c. oatmeal

  10. 1 c. chocolate chips

  11. 1/2 c. nuts

  1. Cream together 2 sugars and shortening. Add beaten eggs. Add vanilla. Add flour, salt and soda mixture and oatmeal. Stir in chips and nuts. Drop dough onto greased cookie sheet and bake.

  2. Note: For healthier cookie use egg whites only or Scramblers and 1 cup flour plus 3 cups oatmeal.
