  1. for Classic Potato Salad Recipe

  2. 5 to 6 medium potatoes, peeled, cubed, and cooked

  3. 1 cup mayonnaise

  4. 2 tablespoons vinegar

  5. 1 1/2 teaspoons salt

  6. 1/8 teaspoon pepper

  7. 1 teaspoon sugar

  8. 1 cup thinly sliced celery

  9. 1/2 cup chopped onion

  10. 3 eggs, hard-boiled

  11. 1 to 2 Tbs chopped green onions, optional garnish

  1. Set the potatoes aside to cool.

  2. In a mixing bowl, stir together the mayo, salt, pepper, and sugar.

  3. Add celery and onion and toss until well-coated.

  4. Add the potatoes and toss again.

  5. Let chill in refrigerator for 2-3 hours before serving.

  6. Serve with green onion sprinkled on top if desired.
