  3. 2 tablespoon(s) chopped fresh cilantro

  4. 1 1/2 tablespoon(s) fresh lime juice

  5. 1 tablespoon(s) extra-virgin olive oil

  6. 1 fresh red or green chile , seeded, minced

  7. 5 teaspoon(s) coarse sea salt

  8. 2 tablespoon(s) extra-virgin olive oil

  9. 1 tablespoon(s) fresh lime juice

  10. 2 (1-pound, 1-inch-thick) halibut steaks

  11. 1/2 teaspoon(s) coarse sea salt

  12. 1/2 teaspoon(s) freshly ground black pepper

  1. Relish: Toss all ingredients in a medium bowl.

  2. Prepare an outdoor gas grill or a charcoal grill for direct grilling over medium-high heat. Brush the cooking grates clean and oil the grill rack. Combine olive oil and lime juice and brush over halibut steaks. Grill steaks until you can easily turn them without sticking, about 6 minutes. Carefully turn fish; continue to grill until just opaque but still moist in the center, about 6 minutes longer. Remove to a cutting board. Remove the bone from the center of each steak; cut steaks in half and season with salt and pepper. Serve with the relish.
