Oatmeal Cake

1 1/4 c Boiling water

1 c Quick oats; uncooked

1/2 c Margarine

1 c Brown sugar

1 c Sugar

1 ts Cinnamon

1/2 ts Nutmeg

1/2 ts Salt

1 ts Baking powder

1 1/3 c Flour

2 Eggs

--TOPPING--

6 tb Margarine

1 c Pecans; chopped

1/2 ts Vanilla extract

1/2 c Brown sugar

1/4 c Evaporated milk

1 c Coconut

Pour boiling water over oats. Add margarine. Cover and let stnad 20

minutes.

Add all at once sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, baking powder, flour and 30-35 minutes at

remove frm oven and put topping on right away.

Topping. Mix together ingredients and spread on cake. Place under

broiler and brown...watch carefully.
