  2. 1/4 cup butter

  3. 1 medium onion, chopped

  4. 2 pound ground beef

  5. 2 eggs

  6. 2 teaspoons salt

  7. 1/2 teaspoon pepper

  8. 1/4 teaspoon tarragon

  9. 1/4 teaspoon marjoram

  10. 5 1/2 tablespoons tomato paste

  11. 3/4 cup beef stock

  12. 4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

  13. 2 teaspoons vinegar

  14. 1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced

  15. 1 cup sour cream

  1. Saute onion in half the butter in large fry pan until golden brown.

  2. Put the onion in the crockpot.

  3. Mix together the beef, eggs, salt and pepper.

  4. Form into small balls.

  5. Brown meatballs in same fry pan.

  6. Sprinkle on the tarragon and marjoram.

  7. Mix together tomato paste, beef stock, Worcestershire sauce and vinegar in the frypan.

  8. Scrape the bottom of the pan and cook for two minutes.

  9. Pour over meatballs.

  10. Cover and cook on low for about 1 1/2 hours.

  11. Melt remaining butter in and saute mushrooms for minutes.

  12. Add the mushrooms and the sour cream to the meatballs and heat through.
