  1. 1 lb extra lean hamburger

  2. 1 large onion, chopped

  3. 3 stalks celery chopped

  4. 2 Tbls olive oil

  5. 2 med bell peppers, chopped (or add more if you like)

  6. 1/2 tsp garlic powder (or to taste)

  7. 4-15 oz cans crushed or chopped tomatoes

  8. 2 beef boullion cubes

  9. 1-4 oz can of green chiles, chopped

  10. 1 Tbsp cumin

  11. 2 Tbsp chili powder

  12. 1 tsp oregano

  13. 1 or 2 cans of pinto beans

  1. Cook onions and celery in olive oil until soft. Add hamburger and brown. Drain off fat. Add remaining ingredients except beans. Bring to a boil then simmer for at least 1 hour. The longer you simmer the better it gets. Add beans. You can always adjust seasonings to your liking. I don't think this dish needs any added salt, but you might.
