  1. 1 pound boneless pork, cut into 3/4-inch cubes

  2. 1/2 pound fully cooked smoked sausage, cut into 1/2-inch slices

  3. 1 cup chopped onion

  4. 1 cup chopped celery

  5. 2 cloves garlic, crushed

  6. 1 (15-ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained

  7. 1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce

  8. 1 (10-ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chiles

  9. 1 cup beer (room temperature), or water

  10. 2 teaspoons chili powder

  11. 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

  12. Salt and pepper, to taste

  1. Place all ingredients in 4-quart slow cooker; mix gently. Cover and cook on low heat setting for 8 to 10 hours until pork is tender.
