  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Peel, core, and cut pears into 1/2-inch-thick slices. In shallow 1 1/2-quart baking dish, toss pears with lemon juice, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, and 1 teaspoon ground ginger; set aside. In small bowl, stir flour, pecans, margarine or butter, and 1/4 cup packed brown sugar until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle flour mixture over pears. Bake pear mixture 30 minutes or until golden and bubbly. Meanwhile, prepare Spiced Whipped Cream: In small bowl, with mixer at medium speed, beat heavy or whipping cream, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger until stiff peaks form. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve crisp warm or cool on wire rack to serve later. To serve, spoon crisp into 4 dessert dishes. Top with Spiced Whipped Cream.
