  1. Mexican Hot Chocolate

  2. 1 1/2 ounces unsweetened chocolate

  3. 1/4 cup sugar

  4. 3/4 cup water

  5. 5 teaspoons instant coffee

  6. 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  7. 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

  8. 1 dash salt

  9. 2 cups milk

  10. Heat all the ingredients except milk in saucepan over low heat.

  11. Stir constantly, until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth.

  12. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer uncovered, stirring constantly,

  13. for 4 minutes. Stir in milk; heat just until hot. Beat with hand mixer until foamy. Top with whipped cream if desired. Serve

  14. immediately.

  15. This recipe may be doubled if you wish.
