  1. 2/3 C. toffee chips

  2. 1/2 C. chopped pecans, toasted

  3. and cooled completely

  4. 1/2 C. packed dark brown sugar

  5. 1/2 C. packed light brown sugar

  6. 1 C. buttermilk biscuit and baking mix

  7. NOTE: To toast almonds, place them on a microwave−safe plate and microwave

  8. 1 to 4 minutes, stirring every minute. Timing is determined by wattage

  9. of your microwave.

  10. In 1−quart wide−mouth glass jar, gently layer and pack ingredients in the order

  11. listed (yes, there are two layers of biscuit and baking mix). If there is any space left

  12. after adding the last ingredient, add more baking chips or nuts to fill the jar. Place

  13. lid on top.

  14. Instructions to place on gift card attached to jar:

  15. Empty contents of jar into medium bowl. Stir in 1 stick butter or margarine, melted,

  16. 1 large egg and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until well combined. Shape into 1−inch

  17. 375ºF for 10 to

  18. 12 minutes or until cookies are light golden brown. Makes

  19. 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
