  2. 3/4 cup milk

  3. 4 eggs

  4. 1/4 cup sugar

  5. 1 package,

  6. 6 ounces, semi-sweet chocolate pieces

  7. 1 teaspoon vanilla

  8. 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

  9. 2 to 3 tablespoons slivered almonds

  1. In medium saucepan, stir together milk, eggs and sugar until thoroughly blended.

  2. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is thick enough to coat a metal spoon with a thin film and reaches at least 160 degrees F.

  3. Remove from heat.

  4. Stir in chocolate and flavorings until chocolate is melted.

  5. Spoon into 8 pot de creme cups or 1/4 cup dessert dishes.

  6. Sprinkle with almonds.

  7. Refrigerate several hours or overnight.
