    1. 1 cup flour

    2. 1/2 cup granulated sugar

    3. 1/2 teaspoon salt

    4. 2 teaspoons baking powder

    5. 1 tablespoon shortening

    6. 1 tablespoon butter

    7. 1/2 cup milk Fresh strawberries Vanilla ice cream

    Instructions Jump to Ingredients ↑

    1. : Sift dry ingredients together and cut in shortening and butter. Add milk, mixing in well with a spoon. Pour mixture into an 8 inch pie plate. Dot with additional butter and sprinkle with additional sugar. Bake at 400 degrees F for 20 minutes. Serve warm topped with strawberries and vanilla ice cream.
