  1. Ingredients :Serves 16-32

  2. 185 g 125 g 1 teaspoon 1 2 cloves

  3. 1 tablespoon 1/2 teaspoon 1 8 slices 2 teaspoons 3 tablespoons 1 sprig

  4. Raw shrimps, peeled, deveined and finely

  5. chopped Lean pork, finely minced

  6. Palm sugar

  7. Shallot, finely chopped

  8. Garlic, crushed and finely chopped

  9. Vietnamese fish sauce

  10. Ginger, finely chopped

  11. Large egg

  12. Bread

  13. Sesame seeds

  14. Vegetable oil, for deep frying

  15. Basil leaves, for garnishing

  1. Mix together the shrimps, pork, sugar,shallot, garlic, fish sauce, ginger and egg.

  2. Spread the mixture on the bread.

  3. Press some sesame seeds on o each piece.

  4. Heat the oil in a large wok and slide thebread into it, 2 pieces at a time, spread side up.

  5. Deep fry for about 5 minutes, untilgolden.

  6. Turn each slice over and fry for 30seconds, then remove from the wok and drain on kitchen paper.

  7. Cut each piece of bread into halves orquarters.

  8. Garnish with basil sprigs and serve withnuoc cham dipping sauce.
