  1. 1 pound bulk Italian sausage

  2. 1 cup chopped onion

  3. 2 cups chopped celery

  4. 2 Tablespoons sugar

  5. 1 medium green pepper, chopped

  6. 2 teaspoons salt

  7. 1/2 teaspoon dried basil

  8. 1/2 teaspoon oregano

  9. or 1 teaspoon of italian seasoning

  10. 1/2 teaspoon pepper

  11. 1 quart of tomatoes cut up or a few cans of tomatoes whole or quartered

  12. 4 cups of sliced and quartered zucchini

  13. V8 juice to thicken if desired.

  14. Grated Romano Cheese

  1. In a dutch oven, brown sausage and onion. Drain excess fat. Add the next 8 ingredients, cover and simmer 1 hour. Stir in zucchini and simmer 10 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese.
