  2. sweet potatoes , peeled and cut into 1-inch chunks

  3. 4 tablespoon(s) margarine or butter

  4. 2 tablespoon(s) brown sugar

  5. 1 teaspoon(s) salt

  6. 1/2 teaspoon(s) grated orange peel

  7. 1/4 teaspoon(s) coarsely ground black pepper

  8. 1 tablespoon(s) bourbon or dark rum

  9. Orange slices for garnish

  1. In 4-quart saucepan, place potatoes and enough water to cover; heat to boiling over high heat. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 15 minutes or until potatoes are fork-tender; drain.

  2. Return potatoes to saucepan. With potato masher, mash potatoes with next 5 ingredients until mixture is well blended. Stir in bourbon or dark rum if you like. Spoon potatoes into serving bowl; garnish with orange slices.
