  1. 2 - 2 1/2 lbs country style spareribs

  2. 3/4 cup maple syrup

  3. 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

  4. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  5. 2 tablespoons rice-wine vinegar

  6. 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  1. Rub ribs with salt and pepper.

  2. Place in shallow glass baking dish.

  3. In a small bowl mix syrup, rice-wine vinegar and soy sauce.

  4. Pour over ribs, cover and chill overnight, turning occasionally.

  5. Marinate at least 10 hours.

  6. Remove ribs from dish and grill over moderately hot coals for 15 - 20 minutes per side, turning often BE CAREFUL! Sauce will burn easily.
