  1. 1-1/2 cups uncooked long grain rice

  2. 1 medium onion, chopped

  3. 3 tablespoons butter

  4. 3 cups chicken broth

  5. 3/4 teaspoon each dried basil, marjoram, thyme and sage

  6. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  7. 1/2 teaspoon curry powder

  1. In a large saucepan, saute rice and onion in butter for 5 minutes. Stir in broth and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 18-22 minutes or until rice is tender. Yield: 7 servings.
