  3. 1/2 cup sugar

  4. 1 3/4 cups milk

  5. 1/8 teaspoon salt

  6. 3 tablespoons cornstarch

  7. 1/4 cup milk

  8. 1 teaspoon vanilla

  1. Melt chocolate in the top of a double boiler. Stir the sugar, milk and salt in slowly. Heat these ingredients to the boiling point. Dissolve cornstarch in 1/4 cup milk. Stir the cornstarch slowly into the hot milk mixture. Cook over boiling water for 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Cover and cook 10 to 12 minutes more. Cool by stirring very gently. Add vanilla. Place in prepared molds. Serve with cream.
