  1. COFFEE CAKE

  2. 1 cup butter

  3. 3/4 cup sugar

  4. 3 eggs, beaten

  5. 1 cup sour cream

  6. 2 pkgs yeast

  7. 1/2 cup warm milk

  8. 1 tsp. salt

  9. 5 1/2 cups flour (sifted)

  10. 1 tsp. vanilla

  11. Dissolve yeast in warm milk. Cream butter and sugar togetther.

  12. Add beaten egss, sour cream, yeast dissolved in warm milk. Add

  13. sifted flour and salt to make dough. Turn out onto floured board

  14. and knead till soft and satiny smoot, about 10 minutes. Place in

  15. bowl and dust with flour. Cover with a towel. Let rise overnight.

  16. In the morning, knead well and roll out into 2 large rectangles

  17. about inch thick. Brush with softened butter, sprinkle with sugar

  18. and cinnamon mixture. Roll up like jelly roll, then cut into 1

  19. inch rolls and place into well greased pans. Let rise until doubled

  20. 2 hours. Bake at

  21. 350 F for 20 minutes or until lightly

  22. browned.

  23. When cool, drizzle with frosting made from butter, vanilla, milk,

  24. and powdered sugar beaten together.
