  1. 1 cup powdered sugar

  3. 1 tsp vanilla essence

  4. 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  5. 1 tsp baking soda and cream of tartar

  6. 2 cups cornflakes

  1. Sieve flour and baking soda a couple of times. In a wide-mouthed bowl, add butter and sugar and blend well (use a wooden spoon or a blender). Now add the flour and mix well till it becomes a smooth cream.

  2. To this mixture add cornflakes and dry nuts. Maintain a smooth consistency.

  3. Butter a cookie tray. Using a teaspoon drop the batter 2 to 2.5 inches apart on the tray. Bake in a preheated oven for 15 minutes at 350 degrees F. Once they are cool, you need to store them in an airtight container.

  4. Nuts are optional. You can use any kind of nuts such as cashews, almonds, pistachios and hazel.

Oats Cornflake Cookies Ingredients 1 cup powdered brown sugar 1 cup powdered sugar 2 eggs 1 cup butter 2 cups of flour 2 tsp soda powder 1 tsp each of salt, vanilla and baking powder 2 cups cornflakes 2 cups oats 2 cups flour Preparation Whisk eggs and vanilla well. Blend butter and sugar. Sieve flour, baking and soda powder, and salt couple of times. Slowly add this to the butter and sugar mixture. You can loosen the dough by adding the whisked eggs. Add cornflakes and oatmeal to this mixture to form the dough. Make lemon-sized balls and flatten them a bit.

  6. Arrange them on a cookie tray and bake at 350 degree F for 15 to 20 minutes. Cool the cookies on a wire rack before storing them in an airtight container.

  7. Chocolate Chips Cornflake Cookies Ingredients 2 eggs 1 cup brown sugar (powdered)

  8. cup white sugar ½ cup cooking oil ½ cup margarine 1 tsp vanilla extract 2 cups cornflakes 1 cup oats 1 cup chocolate chips ½ cup dry nuts 2 cups flour ½ tsp salt 1 tsp of baking powder Preparation Whisk eggs and salt and keep it aside. Sieve the flour and baking powder couple of times. Blend both the sugars and oil and margarine until smooth. To this add the flour, chocolate chips, nuts, cornflakes, oats and the eggs to form a smooth mixture. Grease a cookie tray and drop a teaspoonful of mixture onto the cookie sheet.

  9. In a preheated oven, bake the cookies for 15 to 20 minutes at 375 degrees F. Allow the cookies to cool on a wire rack before transferring it to an airtight container.
