  1. 1 cup 198g / 7oz Butter

  2. 1 cup 62g / 2 1/5oz Sifted flour

  3. 4 oz 113g Unsweetened chocolate

  4. 1 teaspoon 5ml Baking powder

  5. 4 Eggs

  6. 1 teaspoon 5ml Vanilla

  7. 1 Salt

  8. 1 cup 146g / 5.1oz Chopped pecans

  9. 2 cups 396g / 13oz Sugar

  1. Recipe Instructions 1. Preheat oven to 325. Grease a 9" square baking pan. Melt butter and chocolate in small saucepan over low heat. Stir to blend and set aside to cool.

  2. Beat eggs until light yellow; add salt, sugar, flour, and baking powder. Beat well. Blend in cooled chocolate, vanilla and pecans. Blend thoroughly.

  3. Pour into prepared pan and bake 35-45 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool before cutting.
