  1. Beef and Chile Stew

  2. 3/4 pound lean beef stew meat, cut into 3/4 " cubes

  3. 1 large onion, chopped

  4. 2 cloves garlic, minced

  5. 1 can 14 1/2 oz.

  6. 7 oz can diced green chiles, drained

  7. 8 1/2 oz can whole-kernel corn, undrained

  8. 1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano leaves, crushed

  9. 1 teaspoon ground cumin

  10. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  11. 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper

  12. 2 tablespoons yellow cornmeal

  13. Combine all ingredients, except cornmeal, in a slow cooker, mixing

  14. 7 to 8 hours or until meat is tender.

  15. Turn control to HIGH. Stir in cornmeal. Cover and cook on HIGH 20

  16. to 25 minutes.
