  2. 4 slices bacon cut into 1-inch pieces

  3. 1 cup onion chopped

  4. 1 cup celery chopped

  5. 1/2 pound mushrooms sliced

  6. 1 package,

  7. 4 ounces, wild rice cooked according to package directions

  8. 2 cups bread crumbs

  9. 1/2 pound breakfast sausage, cooked

  10. 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  11. 1/2 teaspoon dried sage

  12. Salt

  13. Pepper

  1. Preheat oven to 325F.

  2. In medium-size skillet, over medium heat, saute bacon until almost crisp.

  3. Add onion, celery and mushrooms. Continue cooking until vegetables are tender.

  4. In large bowl combine bacon mixture, wild rice, bread crumbs, sausage, oregano and sage.

  5. Season to taste with salt and pepper if desired.

  6. Spoon dressing into lightly greased 2-quart casserole dish.

  7. Bake, covered, at 325 degrees F, 35 to 40 minutes.
