  1. 3 eggs, well beaten

  2. 1 cup raisins

  3. 1 tsp. vanilla

  4. 1 cup butter

  5. 1 cup white sugar

  6. 1 cup brown sugar

  7. 2 1/2 cups flour

  8. 1 tsp. salt

  9. 1 tsp. cinnamon

  10. 2 tsp. baking soda

  11. 2 cups oatmeal

  12. 1/2 cup coconut

  13. 3/4 cup chopped pecans

  1. Combine eggs, raisins and vanilla. Let stand, covered, for 1 hour. Cream butter and sugars. Add flour, salt, cinnamon and baking soda to sugar mixture, and mix well. Blend in eggs, raisin mixture, oatmeal, coconut and pecans. Dough will be stiff, so work with your fingers. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Drop by heaping teaspoons onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. For richer cookies, add a few chocolate chips on top of each unbaked cookie.
