  3. 1 cup minced fresh basil

  4. 1/2 cup thinly sliced red onion

  5. 1/2 cup olive or vegetable oil

  6. 2 tablespoons cider or red wine vinegar

  7. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  8. 1/2 teaspoon pepper

  9. 1 garlic clove, minced
