  1. 2 ripe persimmons , pureed

  2. 1/2 cup sugar

  3. 1/2 cup brown sugar

  4. 1/2 cup butter

  5. 1 large egg

  6. 2 cups all-purpose flour

  7. 1 teaspoon baking soda

  8. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  9. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  10. 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

  11. 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

  12. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  13. 1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts (or pecans)

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Lightly grease (with cooking spray or butter) or line one baking sheet with parchment paper.

  3. Mix together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, vanilla extract, cloves, nutmeg and salt.

  4. Combine the butter with the white sugar and brown sugar, and stir until creamy.

  5. Gradually beat in the large egg and two persimmons.

  6. Add in the flour mixture and mix until it appears smooth, stir in the chopped nuts or peacans.

  7. Drop small piles of the mix, about 1 1/2 inches apart, onto the prepared baking sheet.

  8. Bake in the oven for 13 to 15 minutes.

  9. Remove from the oven and enjoy!
