  1. 1 cup water

  2. 2 cups sugar 1-inches ginger, peeled and sliced

  3. 1/2 cinnamon stick

  4. 1/2 teaspoon allspice 6-ounces frozen orange juice

  5. 4 1/2 teaspoons molasses

  6. 3 cups vanilla ice cream

  7. 1/2 cup milk

  1. In a small pot add the water, sugar, ginger, cinnamon and allspice. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar, then lower the heat and simmer until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and strain into a bowl. Refrigerate the syrup until cool. Pour the syrup into a blender and add the frozen orange juice, molasses, ice cream and milk. Blend until smooth and serve.
