  3. 1 egg

  4. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  5. 1 cup canned pumpkin

  6. 2 cups all-purpose flour

  7. 3-1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice

  8. 1 teaspoon baking powder

  9. 1 teaspoon baking soda

  10. 1/4 teaspoon salt

  11. 1 package (11 ounces) vanilla or white chips

  12. 1 cup chopped pecans

  13. PENUCHE FROSTING:

  14. 1/2 cup packed brown sugar

  15. 3 tablespoons butter

  16. 1/4 cup milk

  17. 1-1/2 to 2 cups confectioners' sugar

  1. White Chocolate Pumpkin Dreams Recipe photo by Taste of Home In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, vanilla and pumpkin. Combine dry ingredients; gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in chips and pecans.

  2. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 12-14 minutes or until firm. Remove to wire racks to cool.

  3. For frosting, combine brown sugar and butter in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil; cook over medium heat for 1 minute or until slightly thickened. Cool for 10 minutes. Add milk; beat until smooth. Beat in enough confectioners' sugar to reach desired consistency. Spread over cooled cookies. Yield: about 4-1/2 dozen.
