  1. INGREDIENTS:

  2. Chicken- 2 Lbs. (wash & cut into pieces)

  3. Fresh green peas or green and red bellpepper- 1/4 cup

  4. Carrot- 1 (cut into thin strips)

  5. Small baby potatoes- 7 boiled and peeled

  6. Onions- 2 (chopped)

  7. Grated ginger- 1 1/2 inch piece

  8. Garlic- 6 cloves (chopped)

  9. Green chilies- 3

  10. Coconut milk- 1 1/2 cups

  11. - Spices -

  12. Cinnamon- 1 piece

  13. Bay leaves- 2

  14. Cloves- 2

  15. Black peppercorns- 1 tsp.

  16. Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp.

  17. Garam masala powder- 1/4 tsp.

  18. Mustard seeds- 1/2 tsp.

  19. Ghee- 2 tablespoons

  20. Oil- 2 tablespoons

  21. A bunch of curry leaves

  22. Salt to taste

  23. DIRECTIONS:

  24. 1. Grind the ginger, peppercorns, turmeric powder, onions and green chilies to make a coarse paste.

  25. 2. Heat oil and ghee in a large pan and add mustard seeds. When it pops add cinnamon, bay leaves & cloves. When it turns brown add garlic and curry leaves.

  26. 3. After a few seconds add the onion, ginger and chili paste. Fry for a couple of minutes. Then add the chicken pieces and fry. Add potatoes, carrots, garam masala and salt.

  27. 4. Cover the pan and cook for 5 minutes.

  28. 5. Then pour the coconut milk and add the green peas. Cover and cook until the chicken is fully cooked.
