  1. 1 lb Dark Brown Sugar

  2. 1/2 lb Butter

  3. 1 Egg

  4. 1 ts Vanilla

  5. 2 pk English Walnuts, Chop Fine

  6. 2 c Sifted Flour

  1. Cream butter and sugar.

  2. Add egg, vanilla, and walnuts.

  3. Beat by hand until well mixed.

  4. Add flour.

  5. Make into one or two rolls and refrigerate.

  6. When ready to bake, cut in thin slices (size and thickness of half dollar).

  7. Bake at 350F for 4 minutes.

  8. Watch carefully as they tend to burn easily.

  9. Cool 30 seconds before removing from cookie sheet.
