  1. Recipe Instructions Dry tomato slices in food dehydrator with thermostat set at 125 degrees, for about 10 hours. Tomatoes should be soft with some crisp parts and no longer juicy, with a concentrated flavor. Do not dry completely. (If tomatoes are still too wet, continue drying overnight at 90 degrees.) Lay tomato slices on baking sheets and freeze until firm. Store in freezer bags in the freezer. Thaw before using.
