  1. 3 slices bacon , diced

  2. 2 small potatoes , cubed

  3. 2 small apples , cored and cubed

  4. 2 lbs Polish sausage , pieces

  5. 3 teaspoons brown sugar

  6. 1 1/2 teaspoons flour

  7. 1 1/2 teaspoons caraway seeds

  8. 54 ounces sauerkraut

  9. 1/2 cup water

  1. Fry bacon and Polish sausage until crisp; drain.

  2. Add flour to drippings and blend well.

  3. Stir in sauerkraut; mix well.

  4. Place sauerkraut mixture, bacon and sausage pieces in crockpot.

  5. Add all other ingredients; stir together thoroughly.

  6. Cover and cook on Low 7 to 9 hours. (High: 3 to 4 hours).
