  2. one package brownie mix

  3. 1 cup plus 1/4 cup crushed peppermint candies divided

  4. FROSTING

  5. 2 cups powdered sugar

  6. 1 1/2 tablespoons butter softened

  7. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  8. 2 1/2 tablespoons milk

  1. Photo by: beckyskate Prepare brownies as directed on box. Gently stir in crushed peppermint candies. For frosting, combine sugar, butter, and vanilla until soft but lumpy. Gently stir in milk until smooth. Once brownies have cooled, frost them and immediately dip the tops into the additional peppermint candies. After dipping all of the brownies, sprinkle them with remaining peppermint candy. Cover and store at room temperature. Yield: serves 15 Notes: 1/2 teaspoon peppermint can be added to frosting as a substitute for vanilla.
