  1. 2 lbs chuck or blade steak

  2. instant meat tenderizer

  3. 2 tablespoons fat, for searing meat

  4. 1 envelope onion soup mix

  5. 1 bay leaf

  6. 1 green pepper, seeded and sliced

  7. 1 1/2 cups canned tomato

  8. 1/2 cup dry sherry

  1. Trim steak, and sprinkle with tenderizer.Brown on both sides in hot fat and arrange in a shallow casserole.Sprinkle with soup mix.Add bay leaf, sliced peppers, tomatoes and sherry.Cover and bake at 350* for 1 hour or until tender.
