  1. 3 cups pecan halves

  2. 1/4 cup butter , melted

  3. 1 cup sugar

  4. 1/4 cup water

  5. 1 teaspoon salt

  6. 2 teaspoons cinnamon

  7. 1/2 teaspoon cardamom

  8. 1/2 teaspoon fresh grated nutmeg

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. Butter large cookies sheets.

  3. Heat in a saucepan melted butter, water and sugar till sugar is dissolved, add spices and pecans stirring till well coated about 3-5 minutes.

  4. Transfer to cookie sheet and bake until golden about 10 minutes.

  5. Cool store in airtight containers.
