  2. 4 oz 113g Cheddar, sharp - shredded

  3. 2/3 cup 157ml Milk

  4. 1/3 cup 65g / 2 1/3oz Butter - melted Apple Topping

  5. 3/4 cup 120g / 4 1/5oz Brown sugar; packed

  6. 3 teaspoons 15ml Cornstarch

  7. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Cinnamon - ground

  8. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Salt

  9. 1 cup 237ml Water

  10. 4 cups 948ml Apples Topping Heavy cream; whipped

  1. Recipe Instructions Heat the oven to 425F. Combine the biscuit mix and the cheddar cheese then stir in the milk and butter. Spread the dough into two greased 8-inch layer pans and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Combine the brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and salt in a large saucepan. Peel, core and slice the apples. Stir in the water and cook until clear and thickened. Add the apples, cover and simmer until the apples are tender. Spoon half of the apple mixture over one layer. Top with the second layer and remaining apples. Serve warm with whipped cream for a topping.
