  7. 2 To 3 canned chipotle chilies

  8. -or to taste 3 Cloves garlic (1 T)

  9. 2 ts Dried oregano

  10. 1/2 ts Cumin seed

  11. 1/2 ts Black pepper

  12. 2 tb Wine vinegar

  13. 1/2 ts Salt

  15. This spicy marinade owes its unusual flavor to the

  16. chipotle, a smoked jalapeno chile. Chipotles are

  17. usually sold canned in tomato paste. Look for them at

  18. Mexican and Latin American markets. Adobo marinade

  19. goes particularly well with pork.

  20. Juice the oranges and lime. Finely chop chilies and garlic. Place citrus juices, chilies, garlic,

  21. oregano, cumin, black pepper, vinegar and salt in

  22. blender and puree until smooth.

  23. 1 1/2 to 2 pounds meat or chicken. --
