  1. Scones

  2. 3C. flour

  3. 3T. sugar

  4. 1T baking powder

  5. 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda

  6. pinch salt

  7. 3/4 C. butter - cut in with a pastry blender

  8. 1/2 C. fruit

  9. 1/2 C. chocolate

  10. -add - I usually use craisins and white chocolate chips, but my kids love chocolate chips and butterscotch chips.

  11. 1 1/2 C. buttermilk

  12. 1/2 t. extract

  13. -make well in dry ingredients, add liquid. Blend with fork until moist. Batter will be sticky.

  14. Dust with sugar or brush with cream after dropping on a greased cookie sheet.

  15. 350 degrees,

  16. 10-15 minutes, until set and turning golden. May be frozen.

  17. Mock Devonshire Clotted Cream

  18. -In blender or food processor, combine whipping cream, cream cheese or sour cream, powdered sugar and vanilla. Blend until thick and smooth. Keep refridgerated. Mock Devonshire Clotted Cream

  19. 1 C. of whipping cream

  20. 1/3 C. cream cheese or sour cream, at room temperature

  21. 1t. powdered sugar ( I use more)

  22. 1/4 t. vanilla

  23. -In blender or food processor, combine whipping cream, cream cheese or sour cream, powdered sugar and vanilla. Blend until thick and smooth. Keep refridgerated.
